As believers, young and old, we are called to the Next Generation.

Psalm 78 testifies to this responsibility:

We will not hide them from their children,
but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
and the wonders that he has done.

He established a testimony in Jacob
and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers
to teach to their children,
that the next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
so that they should set their hope in God

This week we want to encourage you to consider how you can help bring along the Next Generation. In West Park Student Ministries, we have all kinds of ways you can help. We need people who will lead student small groups. We need people who will pray for the next generation. We need people with the gift of serving. We need moms and dads, grandparents and college students. It takes a whole church to raise the Next Generation, and we hope you will join us.

What

Work

Participants serve in a variety of ways during a YouthWorks mission trip. Students may spend all week at one service site or switch between sites during the week. Examples of service sites include:

• Kids Club
• Children’s programs
• Elderly centers
• Help with local park clean-up and maintenance.

Cost

• $475
• Due March 14th with a $60 DEPOSIT (deposit may NOT be refundable if you are accepted on the trip)

It’s time for the Senior Amazing Race!

What is it? The Senior Amazing Race is like a scavenger hunt on steroids, with obstacles and team challenges thrown in the mix. We’ll be headed throughout Knoxville (w/ adult drivers), having a blast. What a great way to connect with other seniors!

So here’s the deal:

• We will have lunch at the Hub at 12:30pm, hangout, and talk about senior year.
• We will then divide into teams and set out for the Race.
• Teams will race to complete their tasks and find their clues, while trying to be the first team to arrive back.
• We will conclude with dessert and the announcement of the winners.

When: Sunday, Nov. 6 at 12:30pm-3:30ish
Cost: FREE!!!
