Derek serves as West Park’s pastor to students. He has been with West Park for the last four years, living life, loving students, and pursuing God. He is a Knoxvillian, born and raised, but spent several years serving in student ministries and attending seminary in the Boston area. His wife, Jessica, also shares a passion for students and contributes her gifts to the student ministry team. Derek enjoys the outdoors, a good book, daddy-daughter dates, and he’s always up for a game of soccer. Derek also authors the blog www.hobotheology.com.
